働きながら子育てをする中で感じたのは、
子どもが安心して「好き」や「得意」に出会える
放課後の居場所の大切さでした。
一人ひとりの個性を大切にしながら、
これからの時代を幸せに生きる力を育てていきたい。
その想いを胸に、日々子どもたちと向き合っています。
Through my own experience as a working parent,
I realized how important it is for children
to have a safe place where they can discover what they love.
With this belief, I continue to support each child’s individuality
and help them build the confidence to thrive in the future.
Our Story
社会が変わる中で、変わらず問い続けてきたこと
社会や時代が大きく変化する今、
子どもたちに本当に必要な学びとは何か。
私たちは、その問いを大切にしながら、
英語保育のこども園を開園してから16年間、
子どもたち一人ひとりと向き合ってきました。
A question we have continued to ask in a changing world
As society continues to change rapidly,
we have always asked ourselves one question:
What kind of learning do children truly need?
Guided by this question,
we have spent the past 16 years working closely with children
since opening our English preschool.
Founder’s Message
世界を見つめ、学びの本質を考える中で
代表の Yuja は、子育てとスクール運営を続けていく中で、個性を伸ばす世界の教育と、日本の教育のあり方を見比べるようになりました。
そこから、子どもにとって本当に必要な学びとは何かを、深く考えるようになりました。
フィンランドや北欧諸国、カナダなどの教育先進国では、子どもたちは「自分の好き」や「得意」に目を向け、学びをテストのためではなく、人生をより豊かにするためのものとして捉えています。
一方で日本では、小さな頃から多くの時間を勉強に費やす中で、本来持っている探究心や創造性を、十分に発揮しきれないまま成長していく子どもたちの姿も見られます。
本来なら、体験から学び「好き」や「得意」に出会えるはずの時間が、机に向かう時間へと置き換えられてしまっている現状もあります。
だからこそ、子どもが心から夢中になれることに出会い、「これが好き」「自分にもできる」と感じられる経験を、日々の中で積み重ねられる環境をつくりたいと考えました。
英語と体験のある学びの時間へ。
安心して過ごせる居場所でありながら、一人ひとりの「好き」や「得意」を伸ばせる場所をつくること。
その想いから生まれたのが、Bear’s Garden After School です。
Reflecting on Education Around the World
Message from the Founder: Reflecting on Education Around the World As I continued raising my children while running the school, I began to reflect deeply on education.
By comparing education systems around the world that value individuality with the current approach to education in Japan, I started to question what kind of learning children truly need.
In countries such as Finland, the Nordic nations, and Canada, children are encouraged to focus on what they enjoy and do well.
Learning is seen not as preparation for tests, but as a way to enrich life and support personal growth.
In Japan, however, many children spend long hours studying from an early age, and some grow up without fully expressing their natural curiosity and creativity.
Time that could be spent learning through experience is often replaced by time spent at a desk.
Because of this, I wanted to create an environment where children can discover what truly excites them, to feel “This is what I love” or “I can do this,” and build those experiences day by day.
A place for learning through English and real experiences.
A safe and welcoming space where each child’s interests and strengths are respected and can continue to grow.
That vision is what led to the creation of Bear’s Garden After School.

レベル別の英語レッスンと、選べる習い事を同じ日に受けられる環境
を整えています。

提供する、新しいかたちの英語学童を目指しています。
Bringing learning together in one place
At Bear’s Garden After School,
children spend their after-school time in an English environment,
combining level-based English lessons
with a variety of optional enrichment activities on the same day.
By offering after-school learning in one place,
we provide children with a secure and welcoming space,
and support working families by reducing the burden of transportation
and daily scheduling.
